#HurricaneMichael; How You can Help

The news from the panhandle has been heartbreaking as we see so many in the news recently. We can help. The Haven Fellowship Church Mission Team is collecting donations and requesting volunteers for the first of several trips.
The area was devastated with the largest hurricane to ever hit the panhandle in recorded history. It leveled homes. Destroyed entire communities to just piles of rubble, and left many people without anything except the clothes on their back.

The team will be collecting supplies and donations through November 1 and will depart for Florida on November 2. We are proud to partner with Carrabelle Christian Church who will lead us to assist the families that need the most help in the smaller communities. We are looking for volunteers to go with us, donations of supplies, and financial support.

Supplies requested:
  • Water (Bottles and Jugs)
  • Baby and Kids Essentials: Diapers, Formula, baby food, clothes, & toys
  • vinegar and Baking Soda (More effective then bleach)
  • Trash Bags
  • Non-perishable, easy to prepare food
  • Trash Bags
Supplies can be dropped off at Haven before or after Services on Wednesday evening beginning at 6:30 or Sundays beginning at 9:00, and can be placed in the lobby. Donations can also be dropped off Tuesday- Thursday from 9:00am-1:00pm, or contact Michael to arrange pickup. Haven Fellowship is located at 2240 Smyrna Road Conyers Georgia 30013
Contact Michael for details. Volunteers should bring personal items needed for a few days, chainsaws and other tools, water, energy, and a positive attitude. The team will depart Friday evening at 7:00pm on November 2 and return the evening on Sunday November 4th. No special skills are needed and volunteers that are unable to perform manual labor but still want to help, can go and visit with the victims with a warm smile and friendliness.
Financial Contributions
All contributions to Haven Fellowship are Tax Deductible and donors should indicate “Hurricane Michael Relief” on their check. For those that are unable to drop off financial donations or mail a check, can donate via PayPal to mhowington@windstream.net. Important Note: Include Name, Address, and Telephone number in the note so your contribution given to Haven is recorded properly. 100% of the funds will be transfered to Haven and Michael will pay the transfer fee so all of your contribution goes to help the victims.

Matthew 25:35-40

35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

40 And  the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you,  Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren,  ye have done it unto me.
